1986 Willard Marine Trawler Yacht Conversion
IKE was manufactured by Willard Marine in Anaheim, California. Originally built for the Navy and commissioned as the Captain's Gig aboard the aircraft carrier, Eisenhower. The third owner finished the boat as she is today. A unique, charming downeast style trawler yacht.

There are sleeping accommodations for 4 in two cabins located in the V-berth and a spacious aft cabin. The captain's quarters are located in the aft of the vessel. As you step down into the cabin you are greeted by an island queen berth with specious walking space on either side. There is drawer storage lining the side of the cabin, as well as under the berth. Forward of the berth to port is a large L-shaped desk with chair, drawer and overhead storage. The ensuite head is located forward of the berth to starboard. Electric marine flushing head, sink with hot and cold pressurized water, opening port, vanity with storage and a large standing shower. The guest cabin has double bunks an overhead hatch, opening and fixed ports, hanging locker for storage opposite of the bunks. Opposite the bunks and aft the hanging locker is an ensuite head with electric flushing marine head, sink with hot and cold water and an opening port.
The main salon is located in the bridge. The custom made uniquely magnificent headliner is wood paneled softening the bright and airy space. Helm and first mate chairs are wrapped in white leather and the seat cushions are matching fabric and in good condition. Throw rugs line the walkways throughout this vessel.
Located midship forward of the wheelhouse and aft of the guest cabin. The galley is nicely equipped, bright and clean. Appliances include: LP gas powered stove/ oven with pot retainers. A 12V Ac or DC refrigerator with freezer unit that can be run off the solar panels when not plugged into shore power, a AC coffeemaker, Sink with hot and cold pressurized water, counter space as well as under under counter storage.
Opposite the galley you find a table and two bench seats for dining or conversing. The cushion fabric matches that of the main salon. This space also provides storage for dishes and provisions
The hull consists of a molded fiberglass hull without coring, solid FRP and a tabbed-in longitudinal and traverse framing system. The keel is full and non ballasted keel that is integral with the hull. The hull exterior is FRP with the fire retardant additive mandated by MilSpec when the vessel was constructed for the Navy. Topsides have been painted.
